Poor signage, especially for visitors and delivery drivers, on the Charles Church Development

Reported in the Street nameplates category anonymously at 11:36, Mon 8 January 2018

Sent to Hart District Council 4 minutes later

Apart from the sign at the entrance to the Montfort Place development and another showing the entrance to Eleanor Walk there is no other signage to point drivers to other parts of the development. I have asked the developers if it was possible to change some of the signage, as follows...Can the road sign for Eleanor walk be changed to say ELEANOR WALK leading to Nos. nn to nn Runnymede Drive? .. I also suggested putting up an additional road sign at the junction of the spur road for plots 82, 83, 84 & 85 (45, 47, 49 & 51 Runnymede Drive)? ... The response I received is that all signage is complete and no further signs will be put up. Can the council request that Charles Church put up more better signage on the development, INCLUDING (10MPH) speed limiting signs to ensure the safety of pedestrians, especially children on the development?

  • Not great so far.

  • Using Fix My Street has yielded a zero response from either Odiham Parish Council or Hart District Council. I am not convinced that my concerns have been read let alone heeded or acted upon.

  • Have now involved both District/Parish and County Councillors. All very supportive but developer is dragging their feet on responses to questions and resolution of the issues.
