Excessive amounts of Litter

I am writing to raise your awareness to the the disgusting state of the street, as it constantly strewn with litter. This issue has progressively worsened over the past few years with street now fallen into decline as it looks like a rubbish dump. It appears that it is seldom cleaned and lack of cleanliness is clearly a health and safety issue as the litter causes a trip hazard, in fact my mother broke her rib several years ago after her foot got caught in the handle of a plastic bag that had been left on the pavement of King Edward Street, LE5.

Above are photographs that taken over New Year that shows the level of rubbish that continues to blight the pavement. The food waste that us often seen encourages rats (which I have seen in the locality). I do hope that you will able bring changes to the local area especially in the area of littering and cleanliness as it is now embarrassingly dirty and likens to Dickensian squalor.
