Very deep pothole when turning left at Ealing Common
Reported in the Potholes category anonymously at 16:36, Mon 1 January 2018
Sent to Ealing Borough Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1171186.
When turning left onto Uxbridge road at the traffic lights on the A406 at Ealing Common, there is evidently a massive hole in the road surface which I hit with my nearside wheel this evening. Very difficult to pick it up in the dark.

Very deep pot hole at this junction still present. It is sufficiently deep to potentially damage a tyre at low speed turning left onto the Uxbridge Road. It is now so large that it is not possible to avoid without swerving into the next lane of traffic.

After logging via the Ealing Council website, found out that this comes under TFL for maintenance. They duly passed to TFL and I had an acknowledgement of this case via email today.
At lunchtime, I popped over to see the hole in daylight. The attached pic shows the depth of the hole and how cables have become exposed too as the tarmac/shingle has been worn away. It looks as if this was a rather unsuccessful patch job. I also took some video of the cars hitting the hole. Suspect there must be some damage being incurred considering the volume of traffic going over this hole!
