Sunken pavement approx 5ft in length flooded

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category by Brian Berry at 17:06, Fri 29 December 2017

Sent to Hampshire County Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1169742.

Pavement at Moorhill RD near junction with Southern RD has sunk and after any rain there is a puddle running entire area ( 5ft x3ft). The surrounding grass area is slippery and I fell over today whilst dog walking. Fortunately I fell on my knees.. This area is continually flooded and is right on top of the T junction.

  • I originally saw a huge puddle and now it has subsided it appears to be a large manhole cover which has been put in about 1-2 inches lower than it should have been. If it was too high it would prove to be an obstruction which one could trip over. I would suggest that this area be thoroughly cleaned so that next time there is no sludge when it rains.
