Street light not working for over six months

Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 10:17, Tue 19 December 2017

Sent to Norfolk County Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1164213.

Reported this problem many months ago but nothing was done. The street light in question is outside my house which to access my house is up an unlit driveway which is now in darkness due to the faulty light. My wife gets very scared when walking up this drive for obvious reasons especially as a sexual assault took place in the vicinity a few months ago. This is a priority and I hope this time you will take this matter seriously in stead of dismissing responsibility.

  • Since I reported the fault, I have not received any reply from them, the light is still not fixed.

  • The light is still not fixed despite emailing the council again. They really have no sence of urgency regarding the health and safety of the general public, who pay increasing council tax bills. This has been going on for six months now if not longer and a sex attack has taken place along yarmouth road, they have this information and yet still they do nothing, all they do is give lame excuses, fed up with it all to say the least.

  • The council just do not respond to any emails I send them now, perhaps I should stop paying them.
