Drainage and parking

Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 16:32, Mon 11 December 2017

Sent to Mid Sussex District Council 3 minutes later

This section of road is atrocious. It is residential and a busy road serving two large schools.

The first point is the drainage. Water runs off the school playing field, over the pavent, across the road and onto the pavement opposite. When it is icy, it is leathal! You cannot walk on either pavement and the road is treacherous to drive on.

Secondly, parking is a major issue along this road. Please please please a better solution for parent, students and teachers. By introducing bay parking and moving the pavement back a few meters into the playing field, would reduce the risk and ease parking at peak times. Something has to be done on the stretch of road before there is a serious incident.

The recent modification of adding more yellow lines has amplified the issue.
