  • Vans and trailers are constently being parked on the grass verges along Howlands. As a main entrance to the hospital and Town centre, it does not give the town of Welwyn garden city a very good image. It happens on most roads (including my own) and other residents, including myself, do our best to maintain a presentable image, and keep vehicles off the verges. When visiting San Francisco several years ago, there was a bye law which required citizens on each Monday to park on opposite sides of the street, in order that street cleaning could operate without obstruction, failure to comply, resulted in a fine. Surely, this simple Operation could be introduced to our town?

    Thank you
