Sodium lights persist

Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 09:24, Saturday 18 November 2017

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 1 minute later

Bath was supposed to be converted to LED street lights by the end of 2016. Yet Burlington St, Harley St and Portland Place are still on sodium lights. Have they been forgotten?

  • The reason is that these streets are in Abbey ward, which has not been converted to LED. All the other streets north of Julian Rd are in Kingsmead or Lansdown. This area rather suffers from being on the edge of 3 council wards, so no one on the council feels fully responsible for it.
