No left turn sign at junction of Wentworth Street with Commercial Road

This sign would appear to be incorrect as it prohibits traffic turning left into the left hand flow of a two way road. It therefore forces drivers to either wait and go straight ahead thereby necessitating crossing both right and left flow lanes on Commercial Road or wait and turn right onto Commercial Road. The 'no left turn' sign seems to defy logic whereby a 'no right turn' would make sense.
