Tarmac repair on World Heritage protected setted lane

A sunken area of setts on this World Heritage protected lane has been repaired inappropriately with tarmac. I thought this might be a temporary repair, but this was work was carried out well over a year ago.

  • Still not fixed, no update from Edinburgh Council since the call was logged in November 2017. The final strategy for setted streets had been published which includes protection of streets within Word Heritage Site and Conservation Area.
