Edge of road collapsing

This road is in a shocking state. The edges are crumbling almost along it’s entire length. Over the years it has progressively worsened so that cars cannot pass each other in many places.

A few years ago the road was closed for a week while contractors ‘repaired’ the damage using a loose gritty material. This was soon dispersed by traffic and the weather. The edges continued to collapse.

The road is quite hazardous now as cars or other wheeled vehicles can easily miss the edge of the road and lose control. This road is not safe.
