Blocked drain with flooded road close to traffic lights

Reported in the Roads/highways category by Peter Smith at 07:21, Wed 8 November 2017

Sent to Leicestershire County Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1140576.

Once again dangerous flooding is occurring at this particular spot, it crosses over half of the road at the traffic lights at the junction of Thorpe Road and Norman Way. All it needs is the Autumn fall of leaves removed from inside the drain.

  • The slightest rain and the flood returns, such a simple fix, yet there is a potential of damage to property and the public, how hard can it be to arrange the cleaning of a drain.
