Cracks in new CATV trenching

On Woodnook Close, off Linacre Road, Chesterfield, there are cracks in CATV trenching that has only been in place since the summer. To the best of my knowledge these cracks have existed ever since the work was done. The photographs are from a section close to houses no. 10 and 11.
With council budgets under pressure for resurfacing of pavements etc, I am disturbed to see problems being created that did not exist before the work was done. I accept infill resurfacing can rarely be perfect, but I do not expect to see cracks in it.
I am concerned that these cracks will allow water ingress which will freeze over winter thus causing even further damage to our pavements. I do not see why we should accept this standard of work which we may have to live with for many years to come.
Please address as you see fit, this is an FYI. But significant disappointment will be felt if nothing is done and I find these have become worse after a winter freeze or two. I suspect there are more examples like this to be found as a result of the CATV rollout across the estate.
