For sale signs still up years after sale

Sent to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and Hampshire County Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1137445.

There are two woodlands for sale signs that have been left up by the agent for at least three years after the land was sold. I contacted the agents about 18 months ago and they said that the land was still being marketed. In fact the land was sold several years ago and has not been listed for sale on their website since then. They are a blight on the landscape. One is on Foxes Lane the other on the A343. They are being used as free advertising!

  • Poor experience. The council sent out people to investigate the problem, but they said they couldn't see it! The boards are at least 1m square, so I don't know how they missed them.
