RE: CLEAR ROAD MARKINGS - UNDERPASS - AVENUE 2, STATION LANE

I cycle from Ducklington to Witney every work day.

As you probably know, the bottom of Station Lane, Avenue 2 is a carpark for dog walkers using the underpass to access Witney lakes.

This is fair enough but NOT when parked cars block the cycle lane on exit from the underpass.

Early yesterday morning, the FIRST car that pulled up blocked the path despite the whole road being empty.

It is also common for 2 cars to be parked side by side. One on the road, the second on the cycle path. This causes the pedestrians, dogs, schoolchildren and cyclists to all jostle for the gap between cars on exit from the underpass. NOT GOOD AT ALL!

Of course, it is not courteous or sensible to block the path but I don't only blame the driver. The road markings are indistinguishable. This is not good enough. It is dangerous and drivers need to be made aware.

I would be EXTREMELY grateful if you could mark the road at the entrance to the underpass making it clear that parking on the cycle path is NOT PERMISSIBLE.
