All day parking on double yellow lines around station. Enforcement needed.

Reported in the Obstructions (skips, A boards) category anonymously at 10:29, Thu 19 October 2017

Sent to Bromley Council 1 minute later

Every week day cars park on the double yellow lines around the station, and on the hatched lines. Most are there all day. This illegal parking makes it hazardous for cars that just wish to drop someone off - it is very difficult to turn round. Why aren't traffic wardens there?

  • This has most certainly NOT been fixed. Loads of cars parked on double yellow lines. I did also file a report to Bromley - no action taken either.

  • No change at all. Still loads of cars parked on double yellow lines and yellow box lines (if that is what they are called, they are there to keep access clear). Surprised council doesn't send in wardens - they'd make a killing in fines!

  • Poor experience! Had a couple of emails from the council saying it was being attended to but still the road is blocked by cars parking on double yellow lines.

  • This is now getting more dangerous. The line of cars gets longer and includes the turning circle. Can anything be done about the problem?

  • What was my experience of getting the problem fixed - nothing! I got an email from Bromley Council saying it would be fixed and suggesting I post directly on its website (I had done so before FixMyStreet and nothing got done). Today cars were parked all over the double yellow lines, on the turning circle with one even double parked! Unfortunately, I can't take pictures as there is insufficient light in the mornings at the moment. The situation is very dangerous for pedestrians especially in the dark winter mornings.
