Parked cars causing a bottleneck

18-10-17 Vehicles parked on this bend on Merlin Way create a bottleneck and a potential safety problem. The parked cars turn a two way main road into one lane, causing vehicles to overtake them, sometimes into oncoming traffic. With the vehicles parked there, the forward view is restricted on a double bend. Additionally this is now a bus route which would benefit from a smooth flow of traffic. The council could consider installing parking bays as there is plenty of space available with grass verges on the side of the road.

The cars are still parking and causing the bottleneck. My suggestion of creating parking bays would be expensive to implement and if the council were to look into this problem I would expect it to take some time. In the meanwhile vehicles are still having to overtake on this awkward bend.
