Drain cover is rattling again

This drain cover was previously repaired, but has become loose again and now rattles whenever a vehicle drives over it.

  • This is getting steadily worse. The covers are moving more in their sitting and making more noise. At some point they will may be shaken entirely out.

  • This is still getting worse. There has been a problem with this drain cover for years and it has been reported here multiple times. There have been attempts made to fix this previously, usually after several months of requests and just before the marathon is run along this route, but they have never lasted more than a few weeks before the problem returns. The drain covers move around in their fittings whenever a vehicle drives over them, the road surface around them deteriorates as this happens thousands of times. A small minority of cars are now breaking before the reach this point in the road if they see the hazard in time. A permanent solution is required to this issue, more than another short term patching.
