About 30-40 large plastic bags containing shreds of fabric, maybe factory waste. One further similar bag seen between County Hall and Glenfield General Hospital.

These bags have been there at least a week, and material scraps are being blown over a wide area.

Updates

  • This site seems to be a good way to draw attention to fly tipping, as it seems quite difficult to know who to tell from the Council's information contacts. The only query I had was, it is not always possible to specify what number on a street is involved, if it happens to be in a park or on waste ground, for example.

    State changed to: Fixed

  • Further fly tipping has occurred on Jowett Close. At the new gate leading to the back of the Western Power distribution site, there is a three-seater sofa, plus a fridge freezer with intact doors, which could be a child hazard. In addition there are two heaps of hardcore spoil / earth. All this has been there for at least a couple of weeks.
