Several potholes on stretch of High Green that runs between Cross Keys and Simpson's Butchers

Reported in the Potholes category by Alex Johnston at 13:39, Sunday 8 October 2017

Sent to Durham County Council 1 minute later

There is a whole series of potholes along this section of the street. One in particular is about a foot from the kerb which is right where the wheels of most vehicles track. The street is very narrow so vehicles hit this pothole when driving up the street and down it. I've tried to include 7 photos but I think only 3 have been accepted

  • Here is what Durham County Council said:

    Your reference number is FS-Case-23675289.

We have reviewed your request and identified that further action is required.

We prioritise repairs based on the severity of the defect and the type of road or footpath on which it is situated. Our priority is to ensure the area is safe. We will then determine whether or not we can resolve the issue straight away or if we need to carry out an initial temporary repair followed by a longer term permanent repair. If we need to carry out a longer term permanent repair, we will add this to our work programme for completion in the next 12 months.

  • The potholes have been patched which is good. But it's another temporary solution in the allegedly 6th richest country in the world. Lord knows what the others are like.

    State changed to: Fixed
