Possibly unsafe signal modification at train junction

Reported in the Traffic lights category by Alan Peery at 19:11, Fri 6 October 2017

Sent to West Sussex County Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1121286.

A cycling forum picked up an unsafe bit of cycling published by National Rail at this intersection, and it looked strange when I watched the video. Checking Google Maps Street View show that the signals for the junction have been modified, which *may* have contributed -- but it doesn't look optimal to me in any case. Traffic from North Lane seems to no longer have a proper signal.

I am not local, the pictures above are what I know.

Updates

  • No way can that bike rider have seen those lights flashing, but anyone with a brain would not ride on the wrong side of a crossing and try to cut over to the left!

Yes the lights need altering but the bike rider needs to learn how to cross a crossing safely....
