Sign intrudes in footpath

Reported in the Road traffic signs category anonymously at 16:50, Thursday 5 October 2017

Sent to Hartlepool Borough Council 5 minutes later

This sign is loose on the pole and has slipped down. As can be seen in the photo it is potentially dangerous as it protrudes into the edge of the footpath at shoulder height for an adult or head height for a child. It needs to be repositioned back to its original height out of any potential danger area. Alternatively if it is no longer relevent it should be removed.

Updates

  • 26-10-17 No action has been taken on this yet. I try to remove the hazard by turning the sign parallel to the road. It somehow gets moved back to a hazaedous position.

  • This has not been fixed by the council. I rotated the sign out of the way and temporarily fixed it in that position
