Falling branches onto public path & my garden

Hello,
I need to report problems with falling branches from a large tree. Both last year and already this year, substantial branches have fallen from it. The first (highlighted by the red ring I've added on the left of the attached photo) fell last Summer and was huge, as you can see from the 'stump' of the branch left on the trunk where it fell away. The tree is situated on a public bridleway used daily by dog-walkers and riders. The size of the branch that fell could have easily caused someone grevious harm. It snapped the sturdy, wooden frame across the top of my gate in two. Which in itself is annoying, but more importantly, demonstrates the damage it could have done to a person.
Already this year another large branch has fallen - and yet again - broken my fence and damaged my garden. Whilst this is an annoyance, I'm far more worried about the consequences of one of these branches hitting a passer-by, or indeed a member of my family in the garden. There are visibly other branches ready to drop. I'm certainly no tree expert but I really think it needs some attention; probably cutting back to strengthen the branches that remain..?
It's situated on the bridlepath behind number 21 Aspley Heath Lane, hopefully identifiable from the photo but I'm happy to be a point of contact if I can be of assistance identifying it.
Regards,
Gareth

Only to add that I can see that unfortunately, the resolution of the uploaded photo doesn't allow you to see the size of branch that has fallen, or indeed identify the tree very clearly. I can only stress that 2 of the fallen branches have been of such size that they could hurt someone badly.
If you need someone to help locate the tree in question, I'm happy to be a point of contact. Or if you need some photos at better resolution to help you assess this situation, if you contact me through this site I could email something.

The path in question is not one that we have any responsibility for or involvement with. I have forwarded the concern onto Warwickshire County Council's Countryside Access team, who should be able to investigate this and determine what needs to be done regarding this issue.

The Warks County Council Countryside Access Team have emailed me to advise that this problem has been logged on their system, with someone allocated to investigate.
So problem not yet fixed, but very impressed with the way that Stratford Council and then the Warks Access Team have responded so far.
