Beggars outside Tesco

Reported anonymously at 04:38, Sat 30 September 2017

Sent to Harrow Borough Council 1 minute later

Beggars are increasing outside Tesco and by the entrance onto Station Road. Yesterday (Friday 29th September) morning at 9am a man and woman, whom my wife tells me are there almost every day, were stopping people going into Tesco and asking for money. Beggars are regularly outside the front door of Tesco and I have also seen then on Hindes Road asking cars drivers stopped at the traffic lights for money. This has been going on for some time now and is getting worse, particularly on Fridays.

Updates

  • You need permission to collect money for charity in Tesco, so why are they allowing beggars to do what they like.

  • Still open, via questionnaire, 05:15, Sat 28 October 2017

  • They are still there harassing customers and making the place feel unsafe and unwelcoming.
