Litter bin full of household recyclables every weekend.

Reported in the Rubbish (refuse and recycling) category anonymously at 17:06, Thursday 28 September 2017

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 3 minutes later

Every week, from Friday afternoon until Monday morning, the bin is filled, sometimes to overflowing, with recyclable household rubbish. Sometimes builders' waste such as pantbrushes are in there as well. Sometimes the bin isn't cleared until Tuesday morning.

Updates

  • A reply to my report came very quickly. It was clear and positive. The bin was emptied on a Sunday for the first time. Collections are now frequent (Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday: well done,Highways Department! However, the offenders are STILL putting in food, cardboard, bottles, and cardboard. I never see the people who do this and it isn't just at weekends.

  • Please see my previous report. The bin has even been emptied n a Saturday as well! However the dumping goes on; there was an item of broken furniture left next to the bin a few days ago. I put it in our cellar bin room. Again, I don't see the offenders and it happens any day of the week.
