Extreme breakdown of tarmac at edge of road. In places there is a drop of more than 10 cms.

I visit this pub regularly and am so fed up with the state of the tarmac which runs between the main A40 and the car parking space out of the front of this establishment. I complained to the landlords and they said it was highways land not theirs. For about 20 + meters there are drops in the levels ranging fron 3cms to an excess of 10 cms! I feel it is very hazardous to try to negotiate these edges whilst pulling out onto a very busy, very fast main road. On coming traffic appears from around the bend at quite quick speeds and low wheel-based vehicles, or indeed small engined vehicles can struggle to make a smooth, efficient exit. I worry it will not be long before a major accident occurs. I have been visiting for the past six months and it has been like this for all this time.

  • I am surprised this part of the road has not been repaied. It is on a terrible state of disrepair.
