15 Goldstone Villas - Badly overgrown hedges over pedestrian pavement
Reported anonymously at 16:39, Sat 23 September 2017
Sent to Brighton and Hove City Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1113391.
There has been another lapse or failure of whoever is responsible for keeping the front garden at No 15 Goldstone Villas tidy. This means that for over five or six months the bushes and hedges in the front garden have been allowed to overgrow and prevent pedestrians from walking on the pavement. The road is very busy here and accidents may result.

Disappointingly, the problem remains. This is a safety hazard. Bushes and hedge are overhanging the pavement to such an extent that pedestrians must walk single file or risk walking in the road, along which vehicles pass at speed.

This forest is a health and safety issue and should not be permitted to continue, Cars and buses travel at speed along this road and accidents may occur as a result of pedestrians being forced into the road if there are people passing this garden other than single file. Why is this situation permitted to continue?

Incredibly I found that half of the hedge at the front of the property has been cut back but the other half has been left in a dangerous overgrown state. It appears that neighbours have argued about who should take responsibility for cutting this.
