Burst water main flooding and blocked drain
Reported in the Blocked Drain / Gully category anonymously at 10:38, Wed 20 September 2017
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1111380.
There is a burst water main roughly at the point shown. The water is running down the road 200 mtr or so to the S bend where it accumulates, flooding the road because the drain there is blocked. The drain has been blocked for months. Even before this current problem every time there is heavy rain it floods this area at this bend.

The water main has been fixed, but the problem with the gully has not. There are in fact 2 gullies roughly 10 metres apart. The one that was under the flood is totally blocked. There is a further problem in that the road dips in between the 2 gullies so every time it rains that area becomes flooded because the water never reaches teither of the gullies either side.

The two gullies have now been cleared, but that does not cure the underlying problem. The road dips in between the 2 gullies which are 10-15 mtr apart so when it rains this area floods half way across the road without reaching the level of the gullies. It would need an additional gully or one of the other ones relocated, or the dip filled in to cure the problem.
