Parking of vans in Greenways

Sent to Arun District Council and West Sussex County Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1110011.

There are an increasing amount of people running businesses from home. The amount of vans parked bumper to bumper to the top of Greenways is increasing. Last Saturday I tried to enter Greenways saw two cars trying to come out had to swerve away to let them out and then reverse back so that I could get into Greenways. All the neighbours are getting fed up and say an accident is waiting to happen. 18 months ago I politely asked someone who does not live in Greenways to keep the back of my car clear and the next day I had three slit tyres (coincident or not). I feel unable to approach these van drivers. Could the Council please help. I have photographic evidence if needed.

  • Wscc advised me to speak to neighbours and get everyone to write to their local Councillor to maybe get some lines put down but this can take up to 2 years. Having been recently bereaved have not felt like doing this but will let neighbours know what to do.
