Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 5 minutes later
Cones and traffic lights have been set up to apparently repair a bridge at Sally in the Woods. This has been in place for over a week and there has been no evidence of any work. The site is abandoned at all hours. As this is a major route it is causing unnecessary congestion. It is suggested that the Highways Authority either get the cones and lights removed (as it appears no work has started and the road could be used) or it invokes 24 hour working to get the repairs completed and road opened as quickly as possible.

Helpful response from Wiltshire Council. However, doesnt excuse the fact that the contractor is working such limited hours that the lights are there for 3 months! There's nobody there at weekends, they haven't started when I drive past at 07:45 and have already gone by 16:30. Add in lunch, tea, fag and Sun reading breaks and it's easy to see why this is taking 2-3 times longer than it really needs to! 😖
