Overgrown Bushes
Reported in the Overgrown vegetation category anonymously at 18:45, Thu 14 September 2017
Sent to Devon County Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1108369.
Halcyon Road traffic light crossing. The bushes are overgrown making the crossing on this road dangerous as you can't see the traffic coming along the road. As there are school children using this crossing it needs cutting back, better still removing completely as it grows really quickly.

Response from DCC:
Further to your communication received on 23-September-2017 the record was completed on the 25-September-2017. The following information is now available; It is recognised that vegetation on Halcyon Road – whilst not currently meeting our intervention criteria on safety grounds – is becoming an issue, and we have already instructed the Community Payback Scheme to cut this back. Unfortunately at this stage they have not given any indication of the timescale within which they will be able to attend to the matter, however it is now with them to be completed.

This crossing is really dangerous. You cannot see what's coming, as this crossing is used daily by children who don't always wait for the lights to change it needs cutting right back. Also traffic has to move further into the middle of the road to get past the overgrown bushes.

The bushes next to the crossing have been cut back but the whole road needs the bushes cutting back, traffic is starting to have to move further into the middle of the road to avoid scratching their vehicles.
