Completely unnecessary set of railings which prevent you walking straight into the park

For some inexplicable reason, there are a set of railings installed here which are quite honestly daft aye. They force you to walk up and round the path, rather than straight on to the grass, but as the path is narrow and busy, this can often cause people with buggies, kids with scooters, kids with bikes and the like, to come into conflict with others. Removing these pointless barriers to the park will certainly help people access the park a whole lot easier, the railings do not appear to serve a purpose, other than being unnecessarily obstructive to anyone wanting to access the park from Carrick Knowe Drive, please remove these, or at least consider the proposal. Please?

Stlll there, still herding everyone into a 6ft wide space, not wide enough for 2 buggies to pass each other, or people with dogs, or kids with bikes, or people on bikes, pointless walk of 20m round the railings, when most people would prefer to step off the path and across the grass. a joke.
