Vehicles parking too close to the junction of Waterside Road and Wells Road

Reported in the Roads/highways category by Westfield Parish Council at 10:07, Wed 13 September 2017

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 3 minutes later

I am writing to raise concerns about the parking of vehicles near to the junction of Waterside Road and the Wells Road. The vans and parked cars are causing an issue resulting in a few near misses when trying to turn into Waterside Road. There has been a suggestion from a local resident for yellow lines painted down both sides of the road for safety reasons.

  • Response from BANES: Thank you for your email; your query regarding whether it is possible to have double yellow lines painted on Waterside Road would be dealt with by the Highways department. I have cc’d them into this email.

If the vehicles are causing an obstruction, you are able to call the Police on 101, and they have the power to move vehicles and/or issue Fixed Penalty Notices.
