Damaged bollards outside the Coop Foodstore

The bollards protection the flower bed outside the Coop Foodstore have been knocked over. This has been reported before - now several months ago.

  • The bollards were there to protect the flower bed. The bollards have been knocked over and are now gone. Now vehicles, particularly HGVs, just drive over the flower bed knocking over the rose bushes.

  • On the list of 'Planned road works' there is an item for 15th-17th November 'Cone off parking bay and replace bollards outside Coop' but I think this is likely to be the bollards between the parking bay and the shop front. The bollards I reported were bollards at the outside edge of the rose bed designed to stop lorries simply driving over the rose bed.

  • I have tried emailing/phoning 3 KCC officers who passed me from one to the other and then to an Ashford Borough Council officer who has not responded. Very frustrating!
