Probable broken mains water pipe.

Sent to West Sussex County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1096562.
See picture for Duke of Cumberland entrance view with water leak. This has been like this for months. It is now undermining the road further down creating a serious declivity in the tarmac. There is a permanent flow of water - it'll freeze up in cold weather, access may be impeded and a motoring hazard created at this constriction in the lane.
URGENT. Responsibility needs to be determined soonest.

Henley Lane is in a disgraceful state of disrepair. Potholes are a hazard for cyclists and motorists, the deep declivity on the west side of the lane is now eroding daily with water pouring downhill for at least 100 yards from the Duke of Cumberland Pub,
When a freeze occurs the lane may prove impassable to householders near the pub as the running water will become a sheet of ice Pedestrians are at risk of slipping and injuring themselves. Fire engines and ambulances won't be able to avoid the ice sheet because of the lane width of only 3 metres.
Failure of WSCC to resolve the issues, locate the source of the water and define responsibility for remedial work is totally unacceptable.

No response from WSCC Highways.
We now have further problems with the lane caused by Gas Main Replacement lasting from mid September to early November. There is mud on the road, damaged tarmac (caused by contractors vehicles) and damaged verges.
The additional risk to cars, pedestrians and cyclists let alone walkers on The Midhurst Way, is totally unacceptable.

WSCC Highways came as promised and repairs completed on wednesday. Looks good -will be doing a thorough survey tomorrow. Cutting of the overgrowth along the monsoon ditch near Syngenta also helpful.
Thank you Henley Highways Steward, much appreciated.
