Overgrown Hedge
Reported in the Trees category anonymously at 12:28, Mon 21 August 2017
Sent to Doncaster Borough Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1093586.
The hedge is overgrown and taking up half the footpath. you have to walk on the road or cross over and back again. Also there is a lot of litter under this hedge. The hedge belongs to 69A Station Road Hatfield. I reported this in 2015 but they still do not keep the hedge cut back. Blind people, mums with prams and older people have trouble walking on this part of the pavement. It needs addressing instead of having to report it all the time

I have reported this overgrown hedge before it happens every year and every year it is reported. It has been trimmed but not cut back sufficiently. there is still a third of the path overgrown. The resident does not cut it back to the boundary and this is where the problem is. There is a van that parks there sometimes and when this happens people have to walk on the other side of the road. Until this hedge is cut back properly it is just going to encroach on the path more and more. There still isn't enough room for 2 people to pass on the path without one having to walk into the road. People pushing wheelchairs and buggies have great difficulty using this path. this is the only path in Hatfield that is overgrown. Why is this person allowed to fount the laws are they a member of the council???????

The hedge has been cut back to a fashion but not off the path completely it still is over 2 foot onto the path. The owner of the property should be made to cut it back properly. Where the hedge is over the path there is rubbish poo bags and carton etc underneath. Next year you will be receiving another complaint as you have this year and years before. the reason for this is the owner does not cut it back appropriately in the first place.
