East end of recently repaired bridge has cracked and is unstable (can be moved easily) and poses a danger to visitors.

Sent to Somerset County Council 1 minute later

The ancient bridge was recently repaired following vehicle damage. The new damage could be a vehicle impact (but no firm evidence) or caused by subsidence. It is a danger to the many visitors to Wookey Hole village and the Caves attraction. The block of loose masonry is easily moved.

  • Still open, via questionnaire, 15:36, Friday 15 September 2017

  • No feedback received from SCC regarding the damage to bridge or when it might be repaired. There is a danger to the public should the masonry collapse or fall into the river as it is very loose and easily moved by hand.
