Large section of road broken up - very deep - larger than a pothole

Reported in the Roads/highways category by Andy Pritchard at 18:57, Sat 12 August 2017

Sent to Norfolk County Council 3 minutes later

Large section of the road has disintegrated .i.e. much larger and deeper than a typical pothole. It is near the center of the narrow road so potentially will impact traffic coming in either direction.

It does not look like very new damage and when I was searching Google maps for the location their 2009 photos appear to show a large repair in the same location that is starting to fail and crack.

  • Image showing the extensive damage to a large area of the road surface, however it is the damage shown in the top of the image that is dangerous as it is very deep and has a deep "cliff edge" to one side of the damage
