Overhanging hedge obstructing footway

Reported in the Trees category anonymously at 21:36, Thu 10 August 2017

Sent to Norwich City Council 5 minutes later

At the junction of Magpie Road/Heath Road a large privet hedge blocks the footway. Cyclists use this route from Edward St. to Heath Road using the controlled crossing. They clash with pedestrians who have had to step into the road because of the hedge. Sight lines are blocked. Access to the telephone pole is restricted. Heavy shadows are cast at night.

  • Some attempt has recently been made to cut the privet. This has not yet cleared the problem of blocking the corner.

  • The hedge has been extensively cleared and is no longer a nuisance. Thanks to all.
