Root infestation beneath the pavement due to trees growing in the river wall

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category by Patrick Kidner at 16:23, Thursday 10 August 2017

Sent to Richmond upon Thames Borough Council 3 minutes later

This problem has been developing for years and is causing the vertical river wall to separate from the pavement. It is only a matter of time before the wall collapses into the river and the cost of repair will escalate enormously. I believe the Council and PLA have specific obligations to manage this issue effectively following grant aid from the HLF towards the Thames Landscape / Arcadia Project.

  • I have had no response to this report whatever, not even an automatic one. It is nearly two weeks since it was submitted so I trust this message will result in some action. If not, I will clearly need to contact local councillors and MP.
