The tree has been cut down. Was this done by the council contractor? Will it be replaced? There is now about 4 feet of trunk remaining.

When I spoke to the contractor, they confirmed that a replacement flowering tree would be planted but would be over the winter period. Don't know why there's a 4ft stump left???

The stump grinder that disposes of the stumps requires its own vehicle due to its size. We aim to remove the stump in the next couple of weeks. They have recently needed to repair the stump grinder so it may take slightly longer however the stump will be removed soon.

Noticed that a new tree has been planted higher up St Leonards Rise, but the stump is still there and no new tree here, I presume you have a replacement stump grinder available now and can do the work??

Hi why is this now closed? The stump is still there and has not been replaced with another fruiting tree as promised in previous updates?

I am the original requester, there has been no contact with me and as has been said, the stump is still there and no promised replacement has been planted. Please keep open and resolve. Thanks

Just received another update saying this has been closed. It should not be as the stump remains and no replacement tree has been planted as promised.

I'm sorry that it appears that you were given misleading advice by our contractors. The site is on the replacement list for next winter.

Sorry I don’t understand your reply. This incident was “on a priority list for completion” last September according to your update. how can it now be deferred until next winter? If that is the accurate status can you please provide details of who I can contact to discuss this matter further.

The stump is being ground out today. Regrettably we ran out of slots for planting the tree this planting season so we have put the tree on the list for the next planting season 18/19.

I see that on the end of your last updat it says: “State changed to: No further action” Can this be changed please as clearly there is a further action - to plant the replacement tree.

Please can you clarify is the replanting now just going to be "considered" as per your last update, or guaranteed to happen next planting season as per previous commitments.
