Large Fir Trees encroaching on road and obscuring street light

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 22:04, Tue 1 August 2017

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1082287.

This is a recurring issue which is not regularly checked and addressed! These large fir trees alongside house number 14 encroach over the kerbside narrowing the road and the roadsweeper never sweeps alongside kerb so ends up a mess and heaps of debris. Another resulting issue is the height of the trees obscuring the streetlight - why isn't this cut back regularly instead if waiting for a report from a member of the public!

Updates

  • HCC closed the problem - unresolved ref 100436469 and I have attempted to get this reinstated and pointed out the address of the problem is between numbers 14 and 15 struggle to believe how many emails it takes to get a small section of road cleared of overhanging trees and swept free of debris :-(
