Updates

  • Since being reported more than a month ago, and considering its safety aspect due to the dark location created by there being no lighting, this problem still exists.

  • It is impossible to get through the three barriers between Brett Close and Griffin Rd on a mobility scooter. This is the only safe way to the doctors or into town as trying to cross Kingsey Rd from the footpath at Fanshaw is suicidal due to the speed of cars off the roundabout and lack of clear visibility. The three sets of barriers are at awkward angles and a hedge protrudes onto the footpath. Apparently someone has looked at the situation and it meets the required width but you need to meet people concerned and see that the route is impossible on a scooter. At the moment anybody living in that area unless able to drive or walk are unable safely get to essential services or town.
