Abandoned Ford Fiesra

Reported in the Abandoned vehicles category anonymously at 19:37, Sat 22 July 2017

Sent to Swale Borough Council 4 minutes later

This black Ford Fiesta reg no: EK56EGF has been parked on Lammas Drive for the last 2-3 months. On checking with DVSA the vehicle is not insured & has no MOT. The O/S/R tyre is flat & the vehicle was turned around so the flat tyre is against the kerb. Parking is bad enough in this area as there are 2 market traders in the road who have 6 vehicles between them parked on the road (3 of which are behind this vehicle) without abandoned vehicles being left badly parked at a junction.

  • I got an automated e-mail back from Swale Borough Council within minutes of the report, but no action has been taken as of yet. Now the tax has run out as well maybe the police will move it but I won't hold my breath.

  • I've contacted the Council on numerous occasions as the MOT ran out in June, but they're not interested in resolving the situation. I've contacted the Sittingbourne Police as the Road Tax ran out at the beginning of September, but they're not interested in resolving the situation. I've contacted the local councillor Mr Tony Winckless as it is their job to sort out things like this, but he's not interested in resolving the situation. So it looks like the car won't be moved until it's been vandalised, probably not even then as they don't live near it.
