Bad repairs and missed repairs

Reported in the Roads/highways category by DAVID KING at 19:37, Thu 13 July 2017

Sent to Sutton Borough Council 3 minutes later

Woodmansterne Road was inspected in late May and poor surfaces and holes marked in red. The person must have been tired by the time he got to the junction with the A2002 because the repairs markings got less . There are whole eroded patches missed also potholes missed and now getting worse. There are even repairs that do not cover the whole eroded area so there is now contrived potholes. This is typical of Sutton-shoddy work but they can tick a box to say the road has been inspected. The WHOLE length of Woodmansterne road needs resuefacing from The Warren to the junction with Croydon road

  • Some patchwork has been done on the northbound side to a poor standard but nothing has been done on southbound. There are holes and ruts and long stretches of really rough surface. the erosion is now goes down two layers in places mostly one meter from the edge.dangerous for cycles in particular along this bust ,narrow and winding road. The mini roundabout at the junction is really rutted where where Sutton council moved it a few feet years ago.The old foundations are showing through and it has been like this for 3 years now.

  • A few patches done but a lot more missed but surface generally poor. recently reported as most repaired road in Sutton. Complete resurfacing is the only economic answer.
