The entire B5289 from Keswick to Seatoller is dangerously uneven.

Sent to Cumbria County Council 3 minutes later

The entire B5289 from Keswick to Seatoller is worn out. This road was top-dressed in 2016 but the work was a waste of time. All the holes and bumps are simply an inch higher than they were before. This is a busy road with local cars, delivery vehicles and thousands of tourists so it should be in a better and safer condition. There is going to be a serious accident on this stretch of road very soon as cyclists are losing control on the appalling rough surface and will inevitably cause a pile up.

  • Rubbish, an inspection said road was ok. If you check it in a 4WD truck it's bound to feel smooth! Surface is dangerous and as this is in one of the lake districts main valleys this is a disgrace! Road should be resurfaced and rolled smooth. there are holes, ripples and bumps all down it. Some cyclist is going to get killed as it is impossible to stay close to the verge.
