Freezer, mattress, broken window pane on path. Food waste strewn around

Reported in the Flytipping category anonymously at 14:36, Fri 7 July 2017

Sent to North East Lincolnshire Council 3 minutes later

Flytipping happens constantly. Overflowing bins. Food waste left on street potentially causing a health hazard. One entrance for The Caxton Theatre is on Strand Street and this does not make a welcoming sight when we are trying to promote the Arts in Grimsby.

  • Sadly the council said the problems were at private addresses and they could not therefore do anything about it. The rubbish still there and indeed getting worse. On one side of the street there are rear entrances to business premises (many of them unoccupied). On the opposite side there is a school, sports area and a care trust plus building and car park. Not only it is an eye sore it is also a health hazard.
