Dangerous junction

I imagine that this may get overlooked as something that needs to go through other departments, but surely something needs to be done about this junction?

I witnessed an awful RTC here at 13:45 on 18th June 2017. As a trained first aider, I attended the scene from where I had been talking to a friend in The Bickford Arms (beside the junction).

The pictured car was travelling towards Holsworthy and a large 4x4 was pulling out from Brandis Corner. The gentleman in the Citroen was travelling at a little under 60mph when he saw the 4x4 halfway across the road (the only way to see what's coming from the left). Trying to avoid a collision the Citroen braked and steered right. Unfortunately, the 4x4 hesitated (as anyone might) and the vehicles collided.

The result was 5 people (3 in the 4x4 and 2 in the Citroen) with whiplash and bumped heads. It could have been worse.

Surely something needs to be done? I've lost count of the number of collisions at this junction, including several that have broken the walls either side.

Perhaps a reduced speed limit is needed? Or even a mirror placed opposite the junction so that people turning out of Brandis Corner can see around the bend, without having to risk themselves by driving halfway across the road before being able to see?

I can not imagine that I am the first person to contact yourselves about this junction, and I doubt I will be the last.
