Large step from road surface

I reported this problem back in April and had a call from the council to say they agreed and would carry out work to improve this. Original text below: "On the minor road between the A259 and the Oving road near to The Study there is a large step between the road and the verge where vehicles have worn the verge away. The road here is not wide enough for two vehicles so drivers have driven off the road surface onto the verge on the south bound side. The step is now so large that it is greater then some car wheels and grooves can be seen where suspension parts have dug into the road." Can the work be carried out before vehicles are damaged please?

Can the verge be filled in please before a car, motorcycle or cycle is badly damaged or an accident occurs.
