Residents bays have disappeared

Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 19:13, Wed 24 March 2010

Sent to Cardiff Council 1 minute later

Half of the residents bays on the left hand side of Inverness Place (the first block, travelling away from Albany Road) seem to have disappeared over the past few days.

There is already serious parking issues on this block because of people parking here illegally in residents bays to go shopping on Albany Road, leaving their vehicles in residents bays while the residents are left circling the block waiting for people to finish their shopping so we can park and go home. This is simply unacceptable.

There is not enough parking on this block of Inverness Place for the residents as it is, and I don't think assigning less parking for the residents is going to solve any parking problems.

I hope the bay has disappeared because the lines are about to be repainted. I would like to know when they will be repainted.

  • The Council is currently re-painting white and yellow lines across the City before July when the council takes over control of the traffic wardens. I am assuming that is what this is about.
I will check on this though today.
